FAQ

When will we get our photos back?

I'm committed to delivering your session images promptly. Typically, you can expect your purchased digital images within 2-4 weeks (or 4-6 weeks for birth sessions). Custom products and print delivery times may vary based on the season and lab schedules, but I'll strive to get your images to you as quickly as possible.

What if we have something different in mind?

I'm always open to unconventional and unique ideas for your photo session. If you have a specific concept or subject in mind beyond my usual offerings, please reach out. I'd be delighted to collaborate and explore the possibility of customizing a package that aligns with your unique vision.

What if we get sick?

I understand that unforeseen situations occur. I'll work with you to find a date that suits everyone's availability and ensures everyone is in the best condition. Together, we'll pinpoint a new date that accommodates everyone.

What should we wear?

Prioritize comfort. Opt for a simple color scheme and coordinate your outfits accordingly. For day-in-the-life sessions, wear your usual attire. My aim is to capture your genuine self, ensuring you're at ease and relaxed during the photo session.

BIRTH

A professional birth photographer captures the precious moments of your child's birth that you might forget due to exhaustion and excitement. These photos preserve the love and connection between you, your partner, and your family, and the raw emotions and triumph of labor. They serve as a timeless reminder of your incredible journey to bring your child into the world.

When should we book?

To secure availability, it's best to book early, as I only take a limited number of birth sessions each month.

When do you go on-call?

As your birth photographer, I am on-call 24/7 from 38-42 weeks of your pregnancy, and I carry my equipment with me at all times to ensure readiness. During this period, I do not schedule other sessions, prioritizing your comfort and peace of mind.

When will you arrive/depart?

I will be at your birth location once you've entered active labor, typically when your contractions are 5 minutes apart and lasting 1 minute for at least an hour. For homebirths or situations where you're not being checked, we can make special arrangements for mothers with a history of precipitous labor. I will remain 1-2 hours after your baby is born to capture all the critical moments of your birth experience.

Will you share all of my intimate images?

Your privacy is my top priority. You have complete control over your birth images and can choose whether to share them or keep them private. Some women choose to share their stories to empower others, while others prefer privacy. Whichever you decide, I will fully respect your wishes and ensure the security and confidentiality of your images.

A DAY IN THE LIFE

How long will our session last?

The duration of your session depends on the package you choose. You can opt for me to be there as your children wake up or later in the day when they're getting ready for bed. If you've booked a shorter session, we'll coordinate with your daily plans. We'll have a discussion beforehand and schedule a time that aligns with your vision.

What should we do?

The possibilities are endless! You can bake goodies, visit the park, invite grandparents over, engage in arts and crafts, decorate the Christmas tree, or anything else you have in mind. As your photographer, I'll be there to capture the precious moments of your day, like a silent paparazzi.

Will we get formal photos?

These sessions focus on documenting your daily life as it naturally unfolds. If you're seeking posed photos, a family session might be more suitable. My goal is to be a silent observer, capturing candid moments such as smiles, laughter, and even tantrums. These sessions are designed to be relaxed and stress-free, allowing ample time to capture each child's unique personality.

Are you available for travel?

Absolutely! I am available for travel, and details and cost will be determined based on your location and proximity to Southern California.
